About Kaufman Center
A Message from Our Executive Director, Lydia Kontos:
Every day at the Center I see so many people—students, parents, faculty and artists—many of whom I have known for years. Each is unique: students who are young and old, professional or pleasure seeking; performers who have dedicated their lives to music; and parents who are helping their children develop a love for culture. In all of their diversity and numbers, these individuals make the Kaufman Center a place of polyphony—an organization comprising many different voices.
There is no better testament to the value of the arts than to experience first-hand the sheer joy and dedication of those who teach, learn, perform and support the arts. As you explore our website and learn about our many classes, lessons, concerts and special events, please keep in mind that no website can replace a visit. I invite you to explore Kaufman Center in person—attend one of our sample classes or a student recital; enjoy a free concert or attend a special event. You may just discover a new passion you didn’t realize you had!
